More Great News!

Bri,

Just a note to let you know I had a wonderful experience in the Mesa Temple yesterday. Mom had to stay at home as she needed to do some real estate research for a family recently graduated from BYU, relocating to the East Valley. I felt so at peace as I performed initiatory ordinances for 5 Latin American men. I prayed the Lord would allow a renewing of those special blessings to be abundantly showered upon you.

Mom and I will be in the temple again early tomorrow morning. You’ll be in our hearts and minds as you undergo your scan. We’re always with you. We have unwavering faith, confidence and trust that you’ll be fine.

Love,
Dad

Those prayers were answered. Of the 5 remaining tumors, 2 shrunk so much that they weren’t worth treating. The other 3 shrunk by almost half. The previously treated tumors look like scar tissue, meaning not living. In other words, my body is responding beautifully to the chemotherapy – it’s working in the brain!! Dr. Ahn said he does this all the time and doesn’t see this kind of rapid success, not with as many tumors that I had.

The plan is to continue chemo every two weeks and have another MRI in 2-3 months to check up on things, as well as a full body scan. Things are going well and I think can only get better!

Love you for loving me and sending prayers to heaven on our behalf!!!!

Great News!!

Apparently Bri’s scan has been delayed at least a week. She, Teri and the kids are on the road. They should be in Phoenix by 4:30 this afternoon.

Update on Briana

Bri went to the medical center early this morning for her PET scan. The facility was closed. She found one employee at the medical center who checked the records. Bri’s scan wasn’t scheduled.

She’s now waiting for her dr. to call and give her further instructions. Needless to say, she’s very upset. This week’s chemotherapy treatment was cancelled to coordinate with the scan. If she had known the scan wouldn’t take place, she, Teri and the kids could have come back to AZ this past Mon.

If the dr. calls and schedules the scan for next week, Bri, Teri and the kids will travel to AZ today.

If the dr. schedules the scan for tomorrow, they’ll wait until the scan is completed and travel to AZ tomorrow or Fri.

Hurry up and wait . . .

A Father’s Thoughts to his Daughter

Wed., Apr. 6, 2010

Bri,

This morning I had a wonderful experience participating in initiatory ordinances in the Mesa Temple. I felt so comforted and uplifted as I pondered the covenants and blessings that were prounounced. In my heart, I fervently prayed the Lord would shower you with all those blessings.

Scriptural passages regarding faith; prayer, doubting nothing; and miracles are in my mind and heart continually. May you and Eric find great power, comfort and hope in the following passages . . .

John 14:

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

I’ve added some bracketed words in the following passage from Matt. 21 that I feel are relevant to you at this time.

Matt. 21:

18 Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.

19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit [tumor] grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree [cancer] withered away.

20 And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, How soon is the fig tree [cancer] withered away!

21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree [cancer], but also if ye shall say unto this mountain [impossible challenge], Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

The miracle continues. Priesthood blessings are being fulfilled. You will be strengthened and healed.

I love you,

Dad

When I count my blessings . . . I count you twice.

Man’s extremities are God’s opportunities.

Teri in California

Bri and Teri have enjoyed a whirlwind of activity since Teri’s arrival in Simi Valley, CA, last Fri., Apr. 2 (Rock’s birthday!). They hosted Kami’s slumber party Fri. night. They enjoyed shopping and playing with the kids on Sat. They enjoyed listening to General Conference and meeting with family and friends for dinner on Sun., Apr. 4 (Kami’s 8th birthday). Mon., Apr. 5, they had a little down time. This evening, Bri & Teri are going to dinner at a Claim Jumper restaurant and then Salsa dancing with a group of about 12 other women. The husbands are staying home to care for the children.

Tomorrow is Bri’s PET scan. She’s feeling great! She looks great! We continue to pray for the Spirit to quicken and cleanse her, that the scan will reveal she’s free of cancer.
