We spoke Bri at lunchtime, today. She’s feeling fine. She didn’t experience a physical crash after the steroid pack was removed on Wed. – no extreme fatigue or nausea. That’s great!
The chemo cocktail is exactly the same as that with which she was treated last year.
After further evaluation of her Monday PET scan, the oncologist is satisfied the small spot in the pelvic area and the small spot on her sternum were the only evidences of cancer in her torso. They’re both so small he and the chemotherapy specialist are confident that chemo treatments will kill them. The only remaining unknown from the dr.s’ perspective is the cancer on the brain. Again, 5 small tumors on the brain were left without radiation treatment and they’ll be used as a guide to help the drs. determine if the chemotherapy is crossing the blood barrier, moving into and killing any cancer in the brain.
Bri’s next chemo treatment will be Mon., Mar. 22.
